Parks abound...

There are so many parks in London, I was surprised... Beautiful, green, wonderful parks to sit and read, relax, enjoy. The grass is so soft without bugs. It reminded me of the grass you see on golf courses in the US but a little longer blades.

Here is one park we stopped at:

This guy was really this close to me!

The tulips were amazing!

And another park we took some photos:

Out and about...

We decided to just walk around, get on a bus, jump off when we wanted and then just wonder the streets of London.

One of many double decker buses...

Make sure you look right first and not left, like in the US or you will get run over! (I came close a few times...) LOL

A sign on one of the buses... Many people will get their food to go (or "take away") as they say there. It's cheaper because you don't have to pay the VAT (taxes) like you would if you ate in.

Just wondering the streets...

Came across Blade Rubber Stamp Store!!! Oh yes, had to buy some London themed stamps.

Harrods in London is a must

I could have lived in this store. Oh the wonderful things they have.

I managed to find a beautiful tea pot with roses all over it on sale, the last one, no box, for 18 pounds! (a steal!) It was normally over 40 pounds [one pound was equal to ~$1.50 US at the time we were over there.]

-- The outside (part of it taken thru a bus window)

-- Memorial to Diana and Dodi

-- her ring (WOW!)

-- My husband loving this particular menu in their "food court"...

-- The ceiling to one of the food court rooms. Each room was different and I lost count as to how many rooms there were. Amazing.

Across the pond...

As they say, we took a vacation "across the pond". A very large pond, mind you to London!

Landed into Gatwick still in the plane... (we were up for over 28 hours strait by the time we took a 4 hour nap, then up at 6pm to go to bed at 1am).

Into the station to buy our Underground tube (train) passes for the week...

Our home away from home (bottom flat to the right of the door)...

A trip to Harrods is a must...

All boxed up...

A while ago, I made these boxes. I got carried away and made a lot of these boxes. :)

Here I show the front and the backs. They are nice for recipes, to do lists, phone contacts, etc.

Created some RAKs

RAK = Random Act of Kindness... mailing out a RAK card to someone in need of a smile.

1. A friend just became a grandma of a baby boy, so I made her and hubby this card. I love creating Stampscapes and thought this stork was perfect! Love the blue blankie. :)

2. A "pick me up" card for a friend that was just not having a great day... or week...

3. & 4. A group of cards I made for some friends. This is packaged up, wrapped and ready to give them as a gift of thanks. Each card is the same as far as stamp and punch used, but made 4 of each in a total of 5 different colors. Inside is folded copy paper, lightly glued into place and blank... so they can write whatever personal note they want.

My daughter has learned early...

...that making and sending a thank you card after she receives a gift is mandatory.

I can't believe she just turned three last weekend and these were the cards "we" created for thank you's. We made two dozen of them.

Three balloons for her 3rd birthday and the "thanks a bunch" stamp worked well, I thought with the bunch of balloons.

Inside are hand written notes of thanks and then she signs them along with a heart and a smiley face. She sits down at her table and gets busy. She loves "signing" her name... :)

Busy, busy time!

It's been a busy time here but a "good busy"... Celebrated my birthday and in a couple of more days we will be celebrating my daughter's third birthday. Three already! I can' believe it.

Went to Disney World to celebrate my birthday, which fell on Easter this year. That was a bunch of fun!

Had a day where I had a 101.2* fever that just knocked me off of my feet. Slowly getting back to normal from that. Maybe I had too much fun over the weekend?! LOL

I have gotten a lot of stamping done. I just haven't been able to take pictures of them all and get them uploaded... but I will. Here's one for now and off to bed.

I made these cards as a thank you to all who gave me a pledge for my climb... I thought the stamped image was fitting. :) These will go out in the mail by this weekend.

3 cards (check out stamps for sale in below post)

I stamped the flower and had my almost-three-year-old daughter color it in as a thank you to her God Father. He bought her some DVD's that she just loves!

Love Alcohol Inks and dragonflies...

Out of my box...

1. I went to a SU! party last weekend and we made this adorable bunny box. It was loaded with chocolate eggs but my duaghter got ahold of them (really... she did).

2. And then made this tri-fold card. I never remember to make multiple folded cards but love the look.

3. And a card for a friend to celebrate Passover.

Much stamping this day!

1. Card to the Pediatric dentist who we had the pleasure of seeing one day a week for three weeks... The dentist and staff were wonderful. So this one is to them and made another to the pediatric anesthesiologist, who we had the pleasure of having join my daughter's care yesterday morning at oh-dark-thirty. (we were up at 5:15am to leave the house by 6am to be at their office by 7am.) Thank God it was a textbook appointment this time.

2. Inside of the card with a stamped smiley tooth. You just never know when you're going to need these types of stamps. :)

3a. This is a sympathy card for an online friend.

3b. Close up. Did a double stamp and it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.

4. Thank you card to a lady in Liverpool, who sent me a bunch of information on what to do and where to go while we are there visiting.

5. Same stamp (just bought it the other day)...

6. And one more using the same stamp and AI background.

7. Birthday Mickey style...

8. Used my Tamp-a-tiles and a great saying. Know anyone who needs this card? :)
