Cool building with plants growing on it!
We walked past this building on our way to the Eiffel Tower and the first time was at night. It struck me as odd that plants would be growing on the sides of it! Super cool! David loved this...

River Tour in Paris...
Pere Lachaise Cemetary
Yes, we went out of our way (opposite direction of other things we did this particular day) to visit a cemetary. But this is no ordinary cemetary... This is where Jim Morrison is buried, with a "few" others.

You can click here, zoom in, and see the gravesites and names of those who "live" here...
Pere Lachaise Cemetary was amazing... I have never seen a cemetary like it.

Then we walked over to the 21st Division, where Marcel Marceau is buried.

I didn't know who this family was, but the stained glass work for this crypt was so beautiful. And where they weren't packed in, there were a few grassy spots still remaining.

I love how these two pictures came out -- blurry and all, I just love it. We called our daughter that night and I told her to look up the moon... it's the same moon I see so we're not that far away. :) Missing her was so hard!

Then we went back the next day during the daylight (since my camera didn't like the dusk mode...

Basilique du Sacre-Caeur ...
You can see Sacre-Cauer from our hotel balcony...

Here are closer (zoomed in) shots from our balcony... It's the TWO steeples in the center of the photo is where we were going.

To get to Sacre-Caeur was quite a journey. (more like a hike, actually!) From the Underground, to walking up hills, steps, more hills...

We lit a candle for our twins. [middle row closest to the left side of the photo, middle candle]
