Wine o'clock!
I bought these the other day from VLVstamps and they just make me LOL.
The lady is stamped, colored and cut out. Then stamped again and colored and cut out her head and hands. I layered the hands on by running them thru my mini Xyron X. The head has a piece of Redline tape at the bottom and a pop dot at the top. Love the layered look of her head. Just like she's looking up at you. :) Her fingers I curled up just a little bit.
The background is the Swiss Dots embossing folder but used the "smooth" side. This goes to a friend of mine with twins, a job, and a very busy life.
Sympathy Cracked Butterfly
A simple but powerful Sympathy card. Finished card is white. The butterfly I messed up as I ran it thru my Big Kick with the color upside down. But it picked up ALL of the imperfections (aka: cut marks) in my platform. At first I was really upset with myself, as the background is glossy cs with AI's. But when I placed the black die cut of the butterfly over the color, I really loved the look!

Follow your dreams, Mom
My mom has decided to up and move to north Georgia. I forget how much I love making "stampscapes"..... I know she will love it.
For a fellow stamper's mom...
A fellow stamping friend's mom was diagnosed and doesn't have long to live. She requested biblical sayings if anyone wanted to send a card. This is what I created for her mom.

A speedy recovery
This was created for someone at my husband's work who was in a pretty bad car accident (enough that they had to cut the roof off of the car to get him out). We are hoping and praying for a speedy recovery.
The finished card is actually white, but wanted a more layered look on the front, so I took a dauber and some black in and sponged the edges. I colored the flowers using a Water pen and direct from the ink pads. (2 shades of yellows.)

3 apples in a basket
This 3 dimentional and textured card is going to Mrs. Mercier. This is a lady who with her husband, built a goldmine fabulous store that is like a Cracker Barrel but so much bigger and with a ton of acres of fruit, fruit and more fruit! You can see their website HERE
I brushed on some Crystal Lacquer to the apples. Love the look it gives.
On our last visit, we chatted with her for over 30 minutes. She gave us (without even asking!) a few treats. I was in awe of her. Here is my daughter and Mrs. Mercier:

A card for my mom's friend....
A friend of my mom's had a health issue and was in the hospital for a bit. This was to let her know her pets missed her a lot.

My 6yo made this with AI's
My daughter loves Alcohol Inks... The one, she used the pad and slid it accross the glossy paper (3rd generation). She did two other glossy card fronts where she pounced the AIs on it.
She used a pigment ink that wouldn't dry on glossy so we covered with clear Embossing Powder. She loves the texture.
This is a Thank You from her...
A masculine birthday card (for my brother)
I made this birthday card for my brother. I tend to struggle when it comes to masculine cards so I'm really happy with how this one turned out.
The close up of the birch trees -- after I colored them with pencils and Gamsol, I painting on Crystal Lacquer to give the bark a textured look.
